The Journey So Far.

I got my first SLR camera in 1990- a Christmas present from my hubby. Ever since then I have thrived on producing images that capture the world round me. My love of the great outdoors and exploring helps enormously with that and I have explored the UK, including Scotland and The Lake District, Tunisia and Portugal. Of course, a lot of my early work was with film, and I had a darkroom set up in our loft. I miss that, and still prefer to get images right in the camera without much post processing, generally only tweaking and making adjustments that I could make in a darkroom.

My first dSLR arrived in 2006, a Canon EOS400D, and with it came a very steep learning curve. I am still learning, and after a gap of about 10 years, I have got back into photography and find myself with even more to remember and learn. I bought another Canon (EOS5Dv4) so the basic controls are very similar and quite a lot of my original kit fits the new camera. I look forward to sharing my adventures with you, as I head out locally (Manchester and The Peak District) and further afield in my camper, my favourite destination being Scotland.
