A Blast From The Past
Part of my renewed interest in photography has led me to look at images stored from years gone by. Many of those are on 35mm transparencies and I am working my way through those gradually and some will appear on here in time. I found my old Lacie external hard drive and was so pleased when I hooked it up to my MacBook to find that it worked and I had access to the many images stored on it. Currently, the only images I don’t have access to yet are stored on cd’s and are not read by the external drive I have. Something to look into.
Back to the Lacie. Contains my images from 2007 to 2015, and going through them is joyful but time-consuming. The images in my Scottish Highlands Gallery (see link above) are among the first ones I came across. I went on a photography week based in Glencoe with John McKinley (Photograph Scotland), so we had access to fabulous locations and also John’s expertise. I have been on several trips with John, whose images I admire very much, and I learned and developed my landscape photography skills under his guidance.
I am very excited to have found and be able to share with you images that I haven’t laid eyes on for about 10 years (although one or two of them grace my walls as framed prints), and look forward to sharing more of them with you.
